That\u2019s why we\u2019re continuously evolving our services and internal processes to stay ahead of industry needs and deliver even greater value to our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June 2024, we launched a comprehensive internal development project that aims at strengthening our operational foundation and enabling sustainable growth both in Finland and across the Nordics. This initiative is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, with 153,401 \u20ac in support distributed by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Northern Finland. The project runs until March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re grateful for this financial backing, which has made it possible to pursue ambitious improvements that would otherwise remain out of reach. The funding empowers us to innovate, expand, and better serve our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driving digitalisation and transparency<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>A major focus of the project is digitalisation. We\u2019re developing smarter ways to manage and share data, making it faster and easier for customers and stakeholders to access the information they need. In the centre of this work is our new web-based map viewer platform which integrates open-source exploration data with our in-house databases and landowner details. These upgrades will enhance transparency and alignment across exploration projects, helping our clients operate more efficiently and responsibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/geopool.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/geomax_webapp-1024x529.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4196\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re also creating new tools to support ESG reviews, enabling more holistic assessments of exploration projects from geological, environmental, social, and governance perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investing in the GeoPool Exploration Hub<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Exploration Hub in Sodankyl\u00e4, Central Lapland, is receiving significant upgrades. New equipment is already in use, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>LIBS analyser<\/strong> \u2013 for rapid detection of light elements such as sodium and lithium, complementing portable XRF capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Polarization microscope<\/strong> \u2013 enhancing in-house petrographical and mineralogical analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hardness, point-load and density testers<\/strong> \u2013 strengthening our petrophysical study capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New logging station for BoT samples<\/strong> \u2013 enabling integrated analysis of drill core and till samples under one roof.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/geopool.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/geomax_hub-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4199\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These investments allow us to offer a broader range of services and support our Nordic customers more effectively. To ensure consistent quality across borders, we\u2019ve also standardized our processes, which is an essential step for serving international clients seamlessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tangible Benefits Already in Action<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Some project outcomes are already visible in our customer work. Internal communication has been streamlined, improving project coordination. New GeoPool web app was introduced in FEM 2025 and will be taken into use in customer projects during 2026. In addition, our new equipment is actively used in exploration projects, enabling new service offerings and deeper insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At GeoPool, we\u2019re committed to continuous development. This project marks a significant step forward and we\u2019re excited about what\u2019s next.
